Myfox joins Somfy Group to accelerate its European expansion
Toulouse, October 28th, 2016 - Myfox and Somfy are announcing today that Somfy group just acquired the entire share capital of Myfox from the founding family and a group of investors. Joining Somfy, Myfox wishes to strengthen its leadership and accelerate its European expansion in a rapidly growing security and video-surveillance market in Europe.
Founded in 2005 by Jean Prunet, Myfox has grown thanks to the support of the founding family and a group of investors including Jaïna Capital, Orkos and Cogepa.
Under the lead of Jean-Marc Prunet and the current managing team, Myfox will accelerate its development as an autonomous entity, keeping its agility and spin while benefiting from Somfy industrial and distribution power.
With an equipment rate between 10% and 20% in Europe, the home security market is already rapidly growing, but still has an important potential, especially in video-surveillance and professional security services.
